My eye surgery, done by Dr. Cervantes, could not have gone better. He is a caring, skilled surgeon and a thoughtful communicator. The office staff works in concert with Dr. Cervantes. Their team work is outstanding. The positive outcome of my surgery is because of their excellence.

I had THE best conversation with a medical office front desk EVER. Our “specialist” closed up, we were referred to a practice in Fairfield. Let’s just say it would have been easier to break into Fort Knox than get an appointment, let alone get past the rude receptionist.I tried CT Eye Specialists and although it wasn’t the right fit for my husband and I, Iwas happy to encounter a person willing to listen to what we needed.Bethany was a breath of fresh air and a delight to work with. Dr Cervantes and team are amazing. I have had terrible vision since I was a child, and ineligible for lasik. I started reading about alternate vision correction surgeries and found ICL info and made an appointment. The full process end to end was so simple, and 2 weeks post surgery I can see perfectly without glasses or contacts! The surgery process was a total of 3 hours, I felt no pain or discomfort- and the two worst parts were wearing my glasses for 2 weeks for measurements ahead of time and the light sensitivity the day after the surgery. I was working three days after for a couple hours. Absolutely would do it again- life changing!

Dr. Cervantes and his staff are amazing. The are compassionate and committed to the patients. Everything was explained to me and my family prior to surgery. I would recommend him and his team to everyone.

Dr Cervantes performed cataract surgery on my left and right eyes and the follow up care was excellent and exceeded my expectations! Dr Cervantes was very friendly, thorough and professional. I would recommend him to anyone. The surgery was done at Griffin Hospital. The staff there was also excellent and exceeded my expectation!

Dr. Cervantes is one of the best around. If you need eye surgery or have any issues with your eyes I would not hesitate to give this office a call. He did my cataract surgery and things could not have gone better.

Dr. Cervantes performed cataract surgery on my eye and everything went perfectly. He explained everything that he would do, and my choices for implants; and of course, the surgery went smoothly. His office staff were great and were very helpful. The surgery was performed at Griffin Hospital and my experience there was excellent. Had my first eye cataract surgery last week. What a great experience. Dr. Cervantes was exceptional!! He has great bedside manner and the surgery and recovery went smoothly. Looking forward to getting other eye done with Dr. Cervantes.

We were referred to Dr.Cervantes after our former Yale Cornea Specialist said there was nothing else she could do. At that point, my Mother’s eye had been sewn shut for 7 months and we were told her corneal scratch would never heal. Upon meeting Dr. Cervantes, he read her history and had a clear plan in mind to do a stem cell transplant from her good eye to her bad eye. He thoroughly explained what was wrong with her eye, why it wouldn’t heal and how he was going to fix it. We had the surgery and 8 days later her cornea was 90% healed! He is an exceptional doctor with a great bedside manner. My mother had been in such pain for 4 years and Dr. Cervantes surgery has healed her! I highly recommend him! I could not say more about him!! One of the most professional and warm doctors we have dealt with.

The whole team at CT Eye Specialists were amazing and made the process of getting my Lasik surgery very smooth. Dr Cervantes inspires confidence when you meet him and you can tell he loves what he does. Alyssa and Bethany helped to keep me calm in the procedure. I am like the most squeamish person when it comes to my eyes! But all three of them were just so great I can't recommend them enough! I walked out of the office seeing basically as good as I do with contacts and now it's the next day and I see perfectly with minimal discomfort. It's an incredible feeling! If you are nervous about getting anything done I would highly recommend this practice. The receptionists were also kind and welcoming you can tell everyone likes working there.

Dr. Cervantes was extremely thorough in explaining my options to get refractive surgery. Ultimately, I chose to get LASIK and it was the best decision ever! My only regret was not getting it sooner. Dr. Cervantes and his team made sure I was comfortable the day of my surgery. The entire process was painless and quick (~ 10 mins). I recently seen my optometrist and she said my eyes are doing very well and complimented how good my lens looked. I am very happy with my surgery and so glad I found Dr. Cervantes!

I underwent cataract removal in June, 2024. Dr. Cervantes and his staff were totally professional and very caring. My exam was thorough. Both the doctor and his assistants listened to my concerns, answered all my questions and helped me pick the best possible replacement lens. The surgery and recovery were painless and totally successful. The replacement lens is perfectly positioned and I have 20/20 vision. I highly recommend Dr. Cervantes and his staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Cervantes and his wonderful staff at CT Eye Specialists. They were efficient, professional, knowledgeable and very personable . I went to Dr. Cervantes needing Cataract surgery and to say I was a bit anxious is an understatement. He relieved my anxiety by answering all my questions and concerns. I felt understood and heard. I was truly blessed being under his care and the results were very positive .

It has been 2.5 years since my PRK surgery and my eyes are still in perfect shape! My vision is 20/20, no glasses needed. My contact prescription prior was -4.5. Dr. Cervantes was excellent through the whole process, answering all my questions. He recommended PRK over Lasik, and I am happy with his recommendation. I have not had any dry eye symptoms or rings around my vision at night. I can't thank you enough for the gift of sight!! If you're looking for who to trust for this procedure, look no further.

Dr. Cervantes did my EVO vision icl lens surgery in December 2022. Nearly two years later I can still see perfectly without any discomfort still! Dr. Cervantes walked me through the steps and made the process much easier than expected. On surgery day, I was able to see and read the red clock on the wall in the surgery room without my glasses. I would highly recommend Dr. Cervantes, he explains everything before hand and makes you feel comfortable.

I cannot say enough good about this group. I saw Dr Cervantes for 2 catarac surgeries 2 weeks apart and my vision is perfect. The whole series from consultation through surgery went smoothly and pain free. My vision is perfect now. Dr Cervantes and his staff go out of their way to be professional and courteous. In fact, I was referred to him by another surgeon who was unsuccessful in a first attempt at a cornea transplant. This time it was successful and am thankful for having been led to Dr. Cervantes.

Cornea cell transplant Although I was extremely nervous about my surgery, it was just as Dr. Cervantes described it. The several days of being on my back, in retrospect, went smoothly. He is kind, caring and, of course, expert. I could not have had a more positive experience.

I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough!

I had cataract surgery and doctor Cervantes was wonderful. The attention and concern shown by him and his whole office made the experience Comforting.

The office of Dr. Cervantes was professional & explanatory of what to expect when doing PRK. They answered all my questions & having the on call option after surgery if I needed help made me feel cared for & secure when I needed a better understanding of the medications to take/ when. I can see clearly now after a few months post- surgery & it’s an amazing feeling to be able to see without the aid of contacts/ glasses. I would say that if you decide to do this surgery this would be a great place to go as they are very personable & remember to have patience- with yourself, the eyecare team & the healing process. (It was blurry for awhile afterwards, but once things cleared up, felt great!)

So very happy to have had PRK surgery done I can finally see without contacts or glasses, total game changer. Dr. Cervantes and his staff are kind knowledgeable and take the time to explain every step. Highly recommend.

On February 8th, 2024 I had my second cataract surgery with Dr. Cervantes. My first one was in October of 2023. Both surgeries were painless and successful. My vision is awesome: the whites are now actually white and the colors are gorgeous. He is an exceptional eye surgeon and came highly recommended. My optometrist said that he has the cleanest cuts she has ever seen. I highly recommend Dr. Cervantes for all eye surgery.

PRK Refractive Surgery I was not a good candidate for LASIK but I was able to have PRK. A week later I can see clearly. I am trilled with the results!! Dr. Cervantes and his staff were kind, caring and informative. No question went unanswered. The procedure was a breeze and the care was amazing. After having a traumatic eye injury, I was referred to Dr. Cervantes to further assess the damage my cornea had sustained. They got me in right away. Dr. Cervantes examined me and what I really appreciated is he gave me an honest answer. We just need to see how it would heal. He was comforting but factual in explaining each possible outcome. Great doctor!

It is obvious that as we age, your eyes will change. Dr. Lorenzo Cervantes MD and his team are well aware that your eye health is very important to you. He demonstrates concern by so attentive to your questions. The thoroughness of he and his staff in getting an accurate history of your vision is exemplary! There is no doubt that Dr. Cervantes brings his vast training and knowledge to knowing how to treat your eyes such that your vision is as healthy as can be!

Dr. Cervantes and his staff were kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable.My husband has also been cared for by Dr. Cervantes so I had good expectations and they were met wonderfully.When I needed to change the location of my scheduled procedures, his office was able to accommodate me in an amazingly timely manner.My only suggestion is that the office suggest that patients check with their insurance re: cost at different surgery locations. If I hadn't been aware of what my husband paid for his cataract surgery, I would have ended up spending ALOT more at one location.Again, my experience and confidence in the care I received were positive.

I had LASIK a week ago and it has been a life changing experience. I had been wearing glasses since I was 12 yrs old, but was able to walk out of the surgery room without having to wear my glasses. The surgery was quicker than I thought. It could be because the team was so engaging. We started talking about vacations (which is a topic I enjoy). It relaxed me and it was done so fast. Dr. Cervantes is such a professional and has blessed hands. His team is amazing too. They all tell you what to expect step by step, which is something I appreciate. Recovery has been great. I took the day off because of the mild irritation and kind of dozed off throughout the day to rest my eyes. Prep for that if you do it because you will need it. I already told a few of my family members and friends about the experience and encouraged them to look into the surgery. Don't overthink it!!!
