I recently visited Dr. Cervantes' office for LASIK surgery, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The service was excellent, the staff was amazing, and Dr. Cervantes' professionalism was outstanding. I highly recommend this office for anyone considering LASIK surgery.

Amazing There is no doctor with whom I have ever dealt who is more skilled, more generous, kinder and more supportive than Dr. Cervantes. I only wish that every doctor in the world, no matter what his or her specialty is, could be half the amazing physician and human being that Dr. Cervantes is. On February 8th, 2024 I had my second cataract surgery with Dr. Cervantes. My first one was in October of 2023. Both surgeries were painless and successful. My vision is awesome: the whites are now actually white and the colors are gorgeous. He is an exceptional eye surgeon and came highly recommended. My optometrist said that he has the cleanest cuts she has ever seen. I highly recommend Dr. Cervantes for all eye surgery.

I had PRK a week ago and can see clearly without glasses or contacts. Dr. Cervantes and his team were attentive, kind and answered all my questions fully. PRK Refractive Surgery I was not a good candidate for LASIK but I was able to have PRK. A week later I can see clearly. I am trilled with the results!! Dr. Cervantes and his staff were kind, caring and informative. No question went unanswered. The procedure was a breeze and the care was amazing. After having a traumatic eye injury, I was referred to Dr. Cervantes to further assess the damage my cornea had sustained. They got me in right away. Dr. Cervantes examined me and what I really appreciated is he gave me an honest answer. We just need to see how it would heal. He was comforting but factual in explaining each possible outcome. Great doctor!

It is obvious that as we age, your eyes will change. Dr. Lorenzo Cervantes MD and his team are well aware that your eye health is very important to you. He demonstrates concern by so attentive to your questions. The thoroughness of he and his staff in getting an accurate history of your vision is exemplary! There is no doubt that Dr. Cervantes brings his vast training and knowledge to knowing how to treat your eyes such that your vision is as healthy as can be!

Dr. Cervantes and his staff were kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable.My husband has also been cared for by Dr. Cervantes so I had good expectations and they were met wonderfully.When I needed to change the location of my scheduled procedures, his office was able to accommodate me in an amazingly timely manner.My only suggestion is that the office suggest that patients check with their insurance re: cost at different surgery locations. If I hadn't been aware of what my husband paid for his cataract surgery, I would have ended up spending ALOT more at one location.Again, my experience and confidence in the care I received were positive.

I had LASIK a week ago and it has been a life changing experience. I had been wearing glasses since I was 12 yrs old, but was able to walk out of the surgery room without having to wear my glasses. The surgery was quicker than I thought. It could be because the team was so engaging. We started talking about vacations (which is a topic I enjoy). It relaxed me and it was done so fast. Dr. Cervantes is such a professional and has blessed hands. His team is amazing too. They all tell you what to expect step by step, which is something I appreciate. Recovery has been great. I took the day off because of the mild irritation and kind of dozed off throughout the day to rest my eyes. Prep for that if you do it because you will need it. I already told a few of my family members and friends about the experience and encouraged them to look into the surgery. Don't overthink it!!!

Great doctor Dr Cervantes has a fantastic bed-side manner! He explained the cataract procedure to me very well and calmed any fears I had about the surgery. He cares about his patients and it shows! I highly recommend him for any eye surgery anyone may need.

Highly Recommend Debating LASIK eye surgery for many years created numerous questions and anxiousness. Dr. Cervantes answered all of my questions and we were able to come up with a plan that made me feel confident about the procedure. I am grateful for being under the care of Dr. Cervantes and his team and for being glasses-free for the first time since I was 12.

20/20 vision I have been so lucky to have my sight improved after 2 cataract operations by Dr. Cerevantes. All aspects of the 2 operations were handled perfectly. My questions were answered by the dr and his team in detail. Any fears or problems with recuperation were assuaged.

Dr Cervantes was recommended to me by my own ophthalmologist, who did not perform surgery, over surgeons within his own eye care practice! He knew Dr Cervantes personally and was well aware of his skill as an eye surgeon. Several nurses also commented to me "he is the best"! I had cataract surgery on both my eyes in August. I was very anxious about having someone 'fooling around' with my eyes, but Dr. Cervantes put me at ease. He explained the procedure to me and answered all of my questions clearly. After wearing glasses for over 60 years, I now only need reading glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Cervantes and his staff.

I had cataract surgery recently, my left eye in April and my right eye in May. It was a very positive experience both times. Dr Cervantes was pleasant ,reassuring and answered my questions, which put me at ease. Most of all he is highly skilled and I experienced no pain or complications. I am so happy with the outcome. I decided to have Toric lenses inserted during the surgery and no longer need glasses except for reading and many times I don’t even need the glasses. I can drive at night again. Colors are so much brighter and true instead of dull and darker than they really are. Before surgery I thought my little grandson’s
hair was light brown and after surgery I can see that he is actually blonde!
The office staff is pleasant, friendly and efficient. My follow up appointments went well and there is very little wait time after you arrive. I would (and have) highly recommend Dr Cervantes for your eye care needs.

I was apprehensive about the cataract surgery but as soon as I got to griffin outpatient surgery each and every person (nurse, anesthesiologist, aid who took bp). They were excellent professional and kind. Top that off with the very best DR CERVANTES I couldn’t be happier with the results. No pain, perfect vision!! Dr Cervantes remove cataracts in both my eyes. I could see clearly the same day.
For anyone needing eye surgery I would highly recommend using him. I had no problem after my eye surgery and my follow ups went well.

I had the most wonderful experience for my cataract surgery twice, as each eye surgery is done separately. Dr. Cervantes Office is excellent. You always get to speak to a live person when calling to help you get answers to any questions or concerns you may have. The same occurs during office visits. I also had an excellent experience by all caregivers at the outpatient surgical center. Everyone explained what was going to happened and alleviated any fears along the way. After the surgery I had no complications and was extremely pleased with my restored vision. As a retired healthcare worker, I would definitely use Dr. Cervantes in the future for any eye health needs.

Highly recommended! I was SO nervous about eye surgery, but Dr. Cervantes and his team made me feel so comfortable and cared for. It's never an easy choice to go under the knife, especially out of pocket, but the difference only a month in is already worth it. I am so excited for a life without glasses and contacts!

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Cervantes and his staff. I had LASIK done at his office. When you call his office you do not get an automated answering service, but an actual person. When you go to his office you are welcomed, listened to, and all staff are caring. Dr. Cervantes and his staff sit down with you and talk you through the whole process. You will not have many questions because they have the LASIK process down from start to finish. While I paid more for LASIK through Dr. Cervantes, it was worth every penny and I would recommend all to his office.

I initially saw Dr. Cervantes for what began as a cataract consultation. He discovered that I had contracted a virus, probably nine years ago, that kept flaring up and causing erosion to my cornea! Yikes! So, in January 2022, I had a cornea transplant. I cannot praise the attention and care I received enough. Dr. Cervantes is totally professional and very knowledgeable, yet caring, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. He and all the office staff are cheerful and upbeat. I've never seen anyone with a frown. Appointments have always been on time! And I've never felt rushed - all my questions have been answered with detail. Would that all physicians' offices and were like this one!

When my optometrist couldn't correct my vision with lenses anymore, she referred me to Dr. Cervantes for cataract surgery - because he is who she had do *her* surgery. Huge point here - Dr. Cervantes is the eye doctor that other eye doctors go to for care! He is a soft spoken gentleman who explains everything in an easy to understand manner. When it comes to the surgery, his skills become obvious. You are not put asleep, there is no pain or sensation whatsoever, and Dr. C tells you what he's doing at each step. I've worn eyeglasses for reading and distance sight for more than 25 years. Dr. Cervantes removed my cataracts and corrected my vision to 20/20 in both eyes. I only need glasses for reading. Thanks to him my world is now bright, colorful, and in sharp focus. You cannot go wrong putting your eyes in the care of Dr. Lorenzo Cervantes.

If anyone needs an eye doctor/surgeon I definitely recommend Dr. Cervantes and his team at CT Eye Specialist. I found them from a google search for best LASIK surgeons in CT. They live up to the reviews. The staff is friendly and comforting and Dr. Cervantes honors his reputation as an award winning eye surgeon. There is no general anesthesia while performing eye surgery to keep cost and risk associated with general anesthetics down. Since you are fully conscious throughout the surgery, the part I appreciated most was his bedside manner while actually performing the procedure. The OR had 4 people in it. Me, the doc, and two of his staff. He played my favorite genre of music, had me take a valium 30 minutes prior to surgery and was talking me through what he was about to do next the whole time. While going through the process he and his assistants were talking to me about movies, music, and the recent storm we had. I tensed up a couple times and they would remind me to relax my body and take a few breaths. While keeping the mood light and me relaxed he triple checked his calculations by confirming the settings of the laser out loud with his staff and verifying the adjustments. Now, I’ve always been very squeamish when it comes to my eyes. That’s why I never attempted contacts. I even had trouble using eye drops, I would flinch every time I went to use them. I won’t lie, the procedure is not the most comfortable you will be in your life but I can’t imagine any other team making it any more comfortable than CT Eye Specialist. That being said, it is a painless procedure. Your vision goes blurry, you feel pressure on your eye, but I never once felt any pain. If you have corrective eye surgery on your mind you should definitely take them up on their free consultation. They will let you know if you are a candidate and answer any and every question you have. If I who can’t even use eye drops before this can get through the procedure I’m sure anyone can. I remember hearing Nothing Else Matters, Bohemian Rhapsody, Seven Nation Army and Scar Tissue playing and then the procedure was done. That’s about 20 minutes of music, so it took about 10 minutes an eye. Most of that time is the prep, drops, keeping the eye lid open etc. The actual laser part is no longer than 15 seconds. You just stare at the green light and let the doc and the laser do their thing. He sends you home with drops and instructions on taking them. Tells you to take a nap if at all possible and keep your eyes closed as much as possible. I followed the drops instructions. Slept the day away. When I woke up my eye had slight discomfort, as if I went swimming in a pool with chlorine with my eyes open for a bit. But nothing unbearable at all. After using the drops some more and a few more hours I couldn’t even tell I had eye surgery… other than the fact that I can see every detail around me. I went from 20/80 vision.. or 80/20 is it? Hey I’m not the eye doctor here.. to 20/20 in the matter of a 20 minute procedure. As I said I never used contacts, I had glasses for about a week and never really used them. So it’s pretty mind blowing to see all these details that were just a blur to me for 30 years of my life. Did a post op follow up today and the doctor reassured me my eyes are healing as best as possible. The most surprising part for me is the post op recovery, I watched videos and read other people’s experiences with other doctors and I was expecting a lot more pain and discomfort for up to a month after surgery. But that is not the case, again I wouldn’t know I had surgery if I wasn’t seeing so well. Absolutely no pain or discomfort. You can trust Dr. Cervantes and his steady hands and expertise to give you amazing results.Those are tears of joy in the picture.

LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE: Lasik has been something I thought about for several years and when I was finally ready I search for credible places and found CT Eye Specialists. Their website contained important information regarding the doctors which convinced me to call and move forward with the process. Long story short, Dr. Cervantes and his team were fantastic. It has been 7 months since I had Lasik done and I am truly at a loss for words. I cannot thank him and his team enough for their stunning service and for how much it has made my life better.
