COVID-19 updates

We’re really proud and excited for everyone here in Connecticut! New COVID cases continue to drop and we have one of the highest vaccinated rates in the country! As of today May 19, masks for the most part will not be necessary in most places for those who have been fully vaccinated. However, here at CT Eye Specialists, we will continue to wear masks based on the guidelines below, and ask that you please do the same when you come to see us.

Effective May 19, 2021, mask requirements will be updated: Governor Lamont has announced plans to update Connecticut’s mask protocols pursuant to recently released recommendations from the CDC.
These new rules will take effect on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, and will include the following:

Outdoors
-Masks not required

Indoors
-Vaccinated not required to wear masks
-Unvaccinated must continue to wear masks
-Businesses, state and local government offices and events may choose to require universal masking
-Masks will still be required in certain settings such as healthcare facilities, facilities housing vulnerable populations, public and private transit, correctional facilities, schools, and childcare.
